Football Team
This service is perfect for the footy mad among our members! We have two football teams who train weekly throughout the season and compete in the BOBi Football League (Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Inclusive League). It doesn’t matter if a player has the skills of Ronaldo or is trying the sport for the first time, for our players, it is all about getting active and learning to work together as a united team.
Our FA trained Coaches are passionate football fans and either have a learning disability themselves or have spent a career working with adults with disabilities. The Coaches create training drills that are fully inclusive and are designed to boost communication skills as well as player confidence.
Service information:
- Cost per session is £12 per month, payable for 12 months
- Session days: Sunday training and weekend matches
- Base location: Various locations in Wycombe and Aylesbury
- Session times: Various
- Social Link does not provide personal care or administer medications to members.
- An assessment is required with our Head Team Coach prior to the commencement of a trial period.

Eligiability criteria:
- Members must have a learning disability.
- Members must be 18 years old or over.
- For the safety of themselves and others, members must be able to follow instructions and be responsive.
- Due to the physical nature of the sport, members need to be able to walk independently without the use of mobility aids.
